Wheel of Food Life,
spin, spin, spin.
I spun the "Wheel of Food Life" today and it landed on Lettuce.
For lunch, I had a garden salad which consisted of...lettuce, teeny carrot strips, tomato, cucumbers (thinly sliced), croutons, and grilled chicken topped with a nice dressing Romancing the Bean likes to call "champagne vinagrette". It was free for me because I was nice enough to sit through another meeting chaired by the same person as who did the marathon meeting from yesterday. I got a lot of work done while I was in there. None of which related to the topic of the meeting, but it was a safe, quiet place where I could focus on my work and not be interrupted too often. I get annoyed when others do that in MY meetings so I suppose I should expect some cosmic payback at some near point in time.
I digress.
So yeah, it was like....lettucey.
Guess what I had for dinner?
beef stew?
No!
chicken pot pie?
No!
turtle soup?
Oh! So CLOSE!
But...............................NO!
Salad!!!! I had Salad!!! I know, like who'd have thought? This salad had fruit in it and slices of either chicken or turkey. I'm hoping it wasn't turkey, because I really don't like sliced turkey. This was all covered in a yogurt dressing so that combined with the apples, oranges and pineapple and sliced almonds didn't leave much room for the meat-taste to shine thru. 'Sides, I was watching "American Idol" and wasn't paying attention to what I was eating. And, it had a lot of lettuce in it, too, of several different varieties.
At least it was colorful.
